About Us
Our journey began in 1993 when the construction and real estate industries had still not recovered from the real estate crash of the late 1980's. Faced with a bleak economic outlook, Larry put aside his aspirations to operate a building and remodeling company and exited a 6-year career as a Carpenter/Construction Supervisor in order to pursue a new career as a Real Estate Appraiser.
Armed with Massachusetts licenses as both a Construction Supervisor and Real Estate Broker along with a newly acquired Real Estate Appraisers License and utilizing skills learned from studying Business and Finance at Northeastern University, we moved forward.
From our home office overlooking Cape Cod Bay and facing due east, we became EastPoint Appraisal. By word of mouth our appraisal business grew quickly as lenders and realtors truly seemed to appreciate all of the knowledge gained from such a diverse multi-faceted background. Faced with the delemmia of either hiring additional appraisers and potentially sacrificing quality, or limiting our business to what we could handle personally, we chose the latter.
Most of our clients have had the pleasure of dealing with Laurie, who is our Office Administrator. With her outstanding organizational and technical skills and endearing personality, she is always able to assist. The two of us have worked as a team right from the very beginning.
